• Position the subject of marine spatial planning on the national agendas of the region.
• With institutional stakeholders, promote the formulation of policies and rules and promote the management of human activities in the sea.
• Propose innovative initiatives in the legal and institutional context to enable the improvement of resources and their sustainable use.
• Promote the creation and strengthening of spaces or opportunities for public harmonization where plans, policies and rules governing human activities in selected marine areas are discussed.
• Promote training processes to disclose the regulations in force regarding permitted and prohibited conduct in the marine environment to users of the sea, and monitor legal proceedings when those regulations are violated.
