Relations with Panama’s communications media and journalists have been renovated and maintained to reinforce coordination in order to disseminate the Foundation’s activities and messages more effectively.
Awareness-raising campaigns are executed, including for the conservation of sharks and for better awareness of Marine Protected Areas; these help make people more aware about the topic of marine conservation and they are added through other businesses to reach more audiences.
In coordination with the political advocacy program, we also promoted an effective and efficient plan that obtained the support of civil society and political backing from decision makers to reestablish the Exclusion Zone for tuna fishing with purse seines in the Pacific.
The presentation and dissemination of the Environmental Agenda was carried out in partnership with the environmental alliance for Panama, which consists of Albatros, Natura, Audubon, Avifauna, ANCON, PROMAR and MarViva.
Similarly, spaces for the dissemination of marine topics and areas where the Foundation works have also been obtained (large format posters/muppets/magazines/web).
