Mission

MarViva encourages conservation and sustainable use of marine and coastal resources by promoting the protection, extension and creation of specific Marine Protected Areas.

To this end, it supports control and surveillance measures as well as the application and drafting of legislation, whilst raising public awareness to achieve an effective change.

Vision

MarViva aims to achieve real and effective protection of Marine Protected Areas to enable ecosystems to recover and produce the abundance of resources needed for a healthy planet, essential for the development of productive societies and beneficial for all humankind.
